Hello to all.
My name’s Martin, but you can call me Dav, and I’m from Wales in the United Kingdom. It’s the country with a big red dragon on the flag — Somehow often forgotten, but for me it’s home. I do spend my time between here and London just to keep things interesting.
I have an educational background in history, which has given me some great insight into the wider world, and I work with data, with a keen interest in industry 4.0 and navigating the wild west of the information age.
I have always found it difficult to…
Have you heard about TikTok?
I hadn’t. It just came out of nowhere and then suddenly it was as ingrained into a generation as much as Google, Yahoo or YouTube.
Like a lovechild of snapchat, YouTube, and Instagram, TikTok has thrived.
It incorporated the ease of content creation from Snapchat through short videos, the content outreach of YouTube and put into a handy little Instagram like navigation application.
Suddenly people were dancing in synch all over the globe, sharing make up tutorials and sending out some uplifting advice.
It really is like a Cambrian explosion of internet life.
For note 7 what will we find, what tremors of the mind will showcase itself through this medium.
I don’t know, I can’t feel much is on my mind other than the cycle of time, the resurgence of events all entwined into a simple formulae of drama and deeds. Then where do we go when pulled along, tugged along the string of destiny. Where does the string lead other than to the it’s own demise?
How we work here, on this day, is what defines the world that we live. Yet how we work has all it’s rules and regulations…

A research team from the University of Massachusetts Amherst have developed an electronic microsystem that can intelligently respond to information inputs without any external energy source.
Basically they’ve created an electronic device that requires no battery.
Like a self sustaining organism it can generate it’s own energy.
This is huge!
Through the ambient environment, or “out of thin air”, this device can generate electricity. …
There’s normally an end of the world scenario that drives a story forward. Some giant asteroid coming to smash into earth, an alien invasion, floods, divine intervention, genius mastermind using lasers on the moon. There’s the polarized situation that logically the viewer would want to fight against, with maybe a slight hint of sympathy for the devil.
I guess no one really believed it would have come like this.
It’s hard to say where it began, it creeped up over the internet. Nearly all of us were connected, but we just didn’t see. Everything we were being told was changing…
We all need to believe in something in life. From religion to science, there is an element of belief that we need to hold onto in order to progress forward. Whether that belief is in the divine, or in the institutions, we are held together by these truths and use them to propel us forward. We use them to get things done. It makes us ignore other paths that do not fit, and allows us to specialize in our knowledge.
Yet, as we’re currently seeing in this increasingly specialized world is that the benefits of cross domain knowledge can be…
We’ve all been there; that awkward moment where your emotions “betrayed you” and let slip your true feelings that even you didn’t know you were feeling. Your calm thoughts or repression techniques aren’t working. You’re fearful or anxious, and you shy away from what’s happening.
That’s what emotions are meant to do.
You want your fear to let you know you’re in danger, you want your anxiety to let you know you may be on the wrong path, you want your anger to let you know your moral compass. Emotions are quick reactions to external stimuli, and they work really…
“Good does not become better by being exaggerated, but worse, and a small evil becomes a big one through being disregarded and repressed. The shadow is very much a part of human nature, and it is only at night that no shadow exists.” — C.G. Jung, Psychology and Religion
Yet — No moral code is perfect, and no society lives in an ideal. So what we repress and shun can often hinder our development. It is not just anger or sexual impulses that we contain, but shame of our assertive personality, or ridicule of our creating of art, or oppression…
Part of the reason barriers to investment are created can be explained by financial authority trying to limit financial loss for those who aren’t so finance-savvy. But don’t be fooled. A large reason is primarily because the finance and investment world are finding that they can’t control the behavior of people as much as they used to, and that people’s behaviors are not fitting their business models. So instead of adjusting the models, they seek to solidify the status quo through their authoritative power.
The GME and Robinhood scenario of 2021 has proven the battlefield to exist.
This has been…
We’re all aware of the countless self-help books promoting journaling to improve quality of life, allowing the producer to pin point negative (and positive) circular thought patterns. But instead I will take a different approach and base my argument from the concept of owning your own data, from your own perspective, from your own position in space and time.
Whether we like it or not, everything we now do and a lot of what we say is being added to a database somewhere, churned through an algorithm and producing an analysis on our profile as a customer, employee, citizen and…
